Grant started Judo in 1996. He originally started at Seattle Dojo but moved to Budokan Dojo in 1997. Grant trained in Japan for several years in both IJF and Kosen Judo. He currently holds a 3rd degree black belt in Judo, has a brown belt in BJJ and was a state level wrestling in high school in Washington state.
